Well work actually. Yesterday was the last day until 5th January. Didn't really do anything apart from write a letter and make a certificate (no idea if they were even posted). Then we left for our meal at 12:10, the meal itself was fairly decent, I skipped the started since I don't like soup or prawns, had a turkey dinner and an awesome chocolate sundae for dessert. Then we hung around chatting, drinking and hitting balloons at each other until about 15:40 then 7 of us went a few minutes down the road to another pub and we stayed there till just after 22:30. I had a blast, I thankfully didn't have to spend any money apart from on the meal, so the whole night cost me £10. Even discovered that I think one of the women has a crush on me, during one of the conversations we were talking about ideal man/woman and this person said they like their man to be taller than them, then when she was asked about hair colour she said dark hair, looked at mine and said definitely dark, and spiky. She then proceeded to pat the top of my head. When asked about age range she said 35-45, then asked how old I was, I told her and she dropped it to 30-45. Also there was a fair bit of touching on my shoulder when she was laughing. Could be interesting next year when she sees me sober again. Guess it just goes to show that beer goggles work for women as well!!

Just need to survive Gay's visit tomorrow and then it'll be Christmas.

Red thinks I'm great (and who can blame him)!! Had a great time but as usual it ends far to quickly.

Supposed to have my last appointment with shrink before xmas today, but my car wouldn't start, so here I am stuck at home :(
Think the engine warmer failed on me, hasn't done its job properly, and poor car just coughed and coughed until it gave up. Poooooooor Fiu :(
It kinda sucks, coz I was supposed to take a trip to grandma to collect some bottles she wants to get rid of, and also buy her flowers for xmas, and I guess I can go there by bus, but I don't know how withered any flowers would get if I had to walk them from the store, and I was supposed to take the bottles, because I have the car...
Somehow this is gonna be a looong day, my flight isn't till 1955!
Oh well, guess I have more time for Bleach then!

So yesterday my collegue and me had a run in with our accounts department. The VAT rate for this year was changed from 17.5% down to 15%, going back to 17.5% on 1st January 2010, and we have been quoting the 15% rate when people have been booking training and our accounts department told my collegue that if they book it this year we'll still charge the lower VAT rate since they booked in advance.

Yesterday we asked accounts to send a proforma invoice to a company that we are providing training for in January but they are paying for it now. So naturally we quoted them the 15% in a letter and asked accounts to do their stuff. Accounts brought the letter back and said that since the training is happening next year they need to pay the higher VAT rate even though they're paying this side of January. This didn't seem right to us so we went to the HM Customs website (the official government website when dealing with VAT and other issues like that) and they said that any transactions taking place before January 1st 2010 are still subject to the 15% rate even though the goods/services won't be provided until later in the new year.

Armed with this knowledge we presented it to accounts, told them they're wrong and flying in the face of the government guidelines. They said they'd look into it. I wasn't going to hang around since it was almost time to go however talking to my collegue this morning it seems the FD was talking to her last night till 5:30 (30 minutes after my collegue should have finished) and was told that our accountants told them to use the higher rate so that's what they'll be doing.

So they're wrong, they know it's wrong but just because our accountants are dodgy or our accounts department have not understood what they were told (very very very likely) and not doing what the government themselves tell us to do. Common sense is sadly lacking in this company, I really need to get out of here...

Vi har baket pepperkaker. Det var gøy. Formene er skikkelig kule, jeg elsker dem!

Det kommer bilder etterhvert når mannen legger de over fra kameraet sitt, mitt kamera er borte borte borte.... Men jeg vet hvor coveret til den er da.... haha?

Det var gøy å bake, vi var skikkelig flinke.

Også skal vi bake idag med mammaen hans, og vi har mere deig i kjøleskapet også. Men de skal vi pynte, ovnen vår er litt treig da, så de blir ikke veldig stekt selv om de er tynne ogsånn. men men.



(mulig jeg skriver mer etterhvert for det er en anne post jeg har mer lyst til å skrive, men de må jo være kronologiske? )
